Located in the Government Office District in Jerusalem, this complex of two low rise office buildings was designed to accommodate some 1,500 staff members and the general public frequenting the building for their business with the government offices. Following a constrained brief, the architecture of the complex is focused on easy and straightforward flow of patron circulation throughout the complex by utilizing the classic tools of design of symmetry and axis. Two impressive atriums are introduced in building #1 allowing for plentiful daylight in the depth of continuous floor area. The structural concept allows flexible design of interior spaces that can serve multiple alterations in the floor layouts. The project was designed by Guy Igra in a DBOT tender consisting of a set of complex requirements and process demands, albeit in a particularly short time frame and fixed budget.
